Ultimately, we have no choice but to accept the truth of the way things are. There are some situations that try as we might, we cannot change. Sometimes, the real miracle is to be found in our acknowledgement and acceptance of the reality that we are presented with.

This particular 'Prayer of Acceptance' came to me shortly after the death of my Grandmother, and so I dedicate it to Christine Holbrook who knew how to love unconditionally.
